Aira Hilal is a San Francisco–based romance author who writes character-driven stories centered on obsession, power, and complicated love. Raised in a biracial family, her work frequently features interracial couples and explores relationships that challenge expectations. Her stories are filled with morally gray characters and connections that blur the line between desire and consequence.

When she’s not writing, Aira can usually be found watching dramas, building playlists with thousands of songs she swears she’ll organize someday, hunting for good food, or being judged by her black cat. She loves emotionally devastating fictional characters, late-night conversations about storytelling, and creating worlds readers can disappear into for just a little while.
